Max was rescued by Dave in Missouri. Max’s first “family” got him so they could look cool- they proceeded to lock him in a kennel and spend no time with him at all. They subjected him to physical abuse and neglect. When we got him, he was 15 mo. old, had no socialization and didn’t even know his name. After several years of continuous work Max has become a pretty well adjusted dog. He still has issues- he does not trust most men and he is leery of most strangers. But, he is very playful and very protective of his family and his friends. He is a good dog!
Loki was adopted from a rescue agency as a companion for Max. Loki is a very loving sweet tempered little dog. He is a great family companion and he is a wonderful companion to Max. When Max was younger, Loki helped keep Max calm and less irritated. He is a wonderful little guy.

Thetis is Dave's “original” cat. Thetis was found hiding under a car when he was a very little kitten, and he’s been with Dave ever since. He is our cranky old man.
Nicodemus and Pandora- Both adoptions from an adoption agency in Colorado. Nicky and Dora are very sweet and loving cats. They don’t take any crap from any of the other critters!
Cleopatra- The kitten of the bunch. Cleo stared out as a 3 week old foster, but she ended up staying when it was determined that she is partially brain damaged. She is very sweet and loves EVERYBODY! She even loves to snuggle up with Max.
