Reptiles

Stephanie and Dave provide a home for a variety of reptiles including bearded dragons, green iguanas and a leopard gecko.

Bearded Dragons
Pongona vitticeps

These are lizards from Australia.
They are common reptile pets due to their friendly nature and outgoing personalities.

Tres Tres

A rescue from Colorado. She was taken from a breeder who kept her babies in small enclosures and didn’t feed them appropriately. The babies began to cannibalize each other. Tres had lost an entire limb. (Her back leg)

Riley Riley

Riley was also a rescue from Colorado.

A half-sister to Tres, she had lost an entire back foot.

Lil' Bit Lil’ Bit

A rescue from Oklahoma. Lil' Bit was suffering from the onset of Metabolic Bone Disease; common illness in reptile that have not been given proper vitamins and conditions. It is caused by a lack of calcium.

Iggy Iggy He is a great boy. Iggy was given to me by a friend that couldn’t keep him any longer is a huge healthy lizard.
RB7 RB7

This little guy is fairly new to the family. He is a rescue that arrived had severe mouth rot. The illness had spread to the bone, and it took several months of vet care to clear up. He is missing the teeth on one side of his jaw, but he is a great eater and a friendly little guy

Green Iguana
Iguana iguana

Iguanas are found from Mexico to Brazil; there are even some found in Florida. While as they are common in pet stores, Iguanas do not make the best pets. They grow to around 5 ft. in length, require a lot of room to climb and explore, and they need a high quality herbivorous diet. They can be very aggressive and territorial. These lizards are one of the most common reptiles found in rescues.
Brazil Brazil A rescue from Oklahoma; he was abandoned as a hatchling because he wasn’t “thriving” in a 15 gal. tank with 10 other babies. He had to have fluid replacement therapy and had to be hand fed for several days. But, he is doing great now.
Angelita Angelita

She was housed with a male in a 40 gal tank. Both were adults and were not fed properly. Both suffered from malnutrition and metabolic bone disease. The Male died soon after rescue from liver failure, but Angelita is doing better now. She cannot climb very well, but she is eating very well and she is rather friendly.

Leopard Gecko
Eublepharis macularius

These lizards are nocturnal dessert dwelling animals from the Pakistan/Afghanistan area. They are very docile and sweet in captivity and will eat a variety of insects.
Willy Willy Willy lost his eye while housed in a zoo. Due to his injury he isn't the best hunter and he came to live with Steph and Dave.
